3 months of youth athletic development in 83 seconds!
DM about youth athletic development course sale!
So proud of this girl’s growth this volleyball season and I’m having so much fun coaching her team!
Can’t believe this season is almost over but looking forward to many more together!
The priorities of youth sports should not be about performance pressure & winning at all costs. The priorities of youth sports should be about kids developing into better humans & having a blast competing with their friends.
Parents are being lead to believe that “Making It” begins younger and younger by the year by coaches with only their agenda in mind. We have professionalized youth sports and it has trickled down to parents who feel the pressure to make decisions at way too young of an age.
Pull-ups in PE last week was a BIG HIT and we have so many kids wanting to get stronger arms, backs and shoulders! Loving how much fun these APS kids think exercising is and their growing love for being healthy!
Introducing the pull-up bars this week in PE and the STUD, Amy Bell comes into every class (that’s 7 classes each day) to demonstrate what a legit pull-up should look like! (Mine aren’t nearly as pretty as hers). At APS we are blessed with the best!!! Thanks Amy!
Our friends at @fundaciobrafa in Barcelona sent us this incredible, poignant video that has been going viral in Spain. Sport must belong to our kids, and their competitions must be about them, not us adults. If that doesn't work for you, as the kids say, "Don't come."
The last 2 weeks, APS students have been working on basketball skills in PE! We practiced dribbling, passing and shooting and these kids have done AWESOME!!! Super excited to watch the 1st & 2nd graders play some league games in the coming weeks!
Not too shabby of a season for these 4th grade Airedales! Finished 2nd place in the league and continued to grow as a team all season. So much fun to watch them! ❤️
The PE classes have been ROCKING this year so it was another ‘you choose how you want to be healthy’ week! Lots of kids showing off their skills & playing hard! This activity is a great opportunity to get to know my students better while we play together during this lesson!
