Comparisons are futile but for me one of India's greatest engineering achievements remains the 217 feet tall shadowless Brihadisvara Temple built by Raja Raja Chola I in 1010.
Crafted with giant interlocked stones and crowned by an 81 ton kumbam, it was built within six years.
Today, as on every single day, remembering Dr Darshan Ranganathan, my mother, my inspiration. She authored 16 @J_A_C_S papers from India, when just 1 can make a career; never received a single Indian award, never cared.
She died of cancer on her sixtieth birthday, June 4, 2001.
Why to never trust a leftist on Savarkar-Bhagat Singh relations?
The below has been excavated for the first time ⬇️
You might have seen a 1924 quote from Bhagat Singh : "A lover of universal love is the brave individual whom we have no hesitation in calling an awesome rebel, an uncompromising anarchist – the same Veer Savarkar, who pacing in his lawn thinking about universal love, would stop walking on the grass, lest he crushed the tender grass under his feet"
What is the source of Bhagat Singh's statement? It is Savarkar's own writings published in Echo in the Andamans in 1924.
That very year Bhagat Singh calls Savarkar 'Veer' and mentions this grass reference as directly as he could.
Bhagat Singh used to consume any and every literature associated with Savarkar. This went on till his prison days. He was much more of an admirer than even the RW thinks him to be. Leftists on the other hand will never get this reference because all they invest in is Savarkar's criticism.
I will proudly claim all these findings because I was willing to approach Savarkar without the tinted glasses. Bhagat Singh read all of Savarkar's available literature: Life of Barrister Savarkar (written on him by a pseudonymous author), Hindu Pad Padshahi (in prison), IWI 1857 (In Lahore Days), Echo in the Andamans.
He also read through secondary sources and mentioned an incident of Dhingra-Savarkar. He made Savarkar's biography a precondition for entry in the HSRA. He published the fourth edition of Savarkar's book IWI. He also published Savarkar's article in the Shraddhanand 'The Real Meaning of Terror'. How else do you ascertain if a man was impressed by someone else?
Post Gandhi's murder, freedom fighter Dr. Narayan Savarkar was dragged from home, the 1st mob lynching in free India & died due to stone pelting & heavy bleeding. 6000-8000 Brahmin men, women (tortured & raped), children were killed brutally. ZERO punished.
Today is his Jayanti.
An Indian street dog was repeatedly stabbed to death inside the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India. Its only fault was that it entered the temple premises to escape the summer heat.
This brutal act was allegedly committed by a Nihang (Sikh warrior of the “Guru’s Beloved Army,”) using his kripan, a sacred curved dagger.
The question is will the state government take action on this crime? @AAPPunjab@BhagwantMann@SGPCAmritsar@cpamritsar@AmritsarRPolice@PunjabPoliceInd@DGPPunjabPolice@GoldenTempleInd@AwbiBallabhgarh@dc_amritsar

A prominent influencer, @theskindoctor13, was arrested by the Delhi Police today on a baseless and frivolous case. When the night magistrate gave him bail within 5 hours at 10 PM tonight, it was made clear by the honorable court that he did not do anything wrong.
Advocate @RaviSharmaTalks ably assisted by @sidcool2302 appeared on behalf of the influencer. Sources say that the Delhi Police was pulled up by the court and asked who pressured them to carry out the arrest.
The case has no legal grounds, none whatsoever. But there is more to this than what meets the eye. Why was he arrested in such haste? Who ordered his arrest? More questions will be asked and more answers will come out soon.

Still, he is never held Accountable !
Totally in agreement with @PMOIndia on curtailing travel, fuel use etc. If it’s a global crisis, and beyond our control, self discipline will be the best foot forward.
However, I also have a suggestion for @narendramodi ji. 🙏
Sir, collectively we have close to 5000 MLAs and MPs in India. Whenever they move, official vehicles aside, they are accompanied by hordes of followers and supporters. Never seen even an MLA with less than 5-8 vehicle convoy. And sometimes these cavalcades run into hundreds of vehicles. And political leaders, across parties, travel daily to multiple locations. The convoys never shorten nor stop. You can add 2-3 independent vehicle convoys to immediate families of entire number too, just for calculations.
Collectively, we are talking about hundreds and thousands of vehicles daily, running for no apparent reason other than accompanying the leader and ‘to be seen’, and clocking millions of miles each day.
Sir, if you can direct these leaders, to cut down these illogical miles, it not only would help the present initiative, but also set a case for better future where twenty cars with horns blaring on roads don’t push commoners like us aside because the leader has to travel by supersonic speed to fashionably arrive late at his / her next function.
You’ve been a common citizen like us. You didn’t inherit the chair and power. I’m sure you understand the sheer insult and disgust we feel when bulky bouncers and cops hanging out from pilot and other vehicles just shove other vehicles around. So you will be resolving this crassness and unruly behaviour too.
Practical problems are surface repressions of deep rooted cultural issues. Like your Swach Bharat initiative. No amount of infrastructure can keep India clean if we don’t stop throwing garbage on roads.
I think, in the same manner, car pooling, minimising travel, not running ACs in cars in parking because the VIP cannot ensure 20 seconds of heat while the car cools when AC is switched on, traveling by public transport - all are more of cultural issue than practical ones.
And I’m very sure, a step taken by leaders will go a long way in making your initiative successful, sir.

- An Indian citizen.
Her name is Pragya Singh.
She is 29 years old. She lives in Naubasta, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
On May 5 2026 she and her husband Manish Agrahari boarded the Nanda Devi AC Superfast Express, Train 12402, at Dehradun. They were returning home after a Kedarnath pilgrimage. Coach B2. Seats 59 and 64.
Sometime after midnight, between Bahadurpur outer signal and Laksar station in Haridwar district, the family fell asleep.
When they woke up, Pragya’s seat was empty.
Manish searched every coach. She was not there. Her phone was switched off. Her last known location had pinged near Laksar.
A missing FIR was filed at Laksar Kotwali. GRP, RPF and local police have searched the tracks, nearby areas, hotels and hospitals.
Five days have passed. She has not been found.
When her family checked the CCTV cameras at Laksar railway station, most of them were not working. No footage of her movement exists.
Her family confronted Laksar Station Superintendent K R Meena over this. There was no satisfactory answer.
If you have any information contact her husband Manish Agrahari directly on 7985366726 or call Railway helpline 139.

Few days ago, common people were being insulted in front of their kids for clicking pictures at Gurudwara by Sewadars. Now a celebrity doing same with total impunity.
Gurus taught us to not discriminate between people. Make of this what you will.
In movie Bajirao Mastani this guy is portrayed as main villain (because he objected to his brother having an extra marital affair!)
In real life he - Chimaji Appa defeated Portuguese and put an end to their ambitions. He took away church bells which he later donated to temples.
Bollywood is a brothelwood indeed
Congratulations to Shri Suvendu Adhikari Ji on taking oath as West Bengal’s Chief Minister. He has made a mark as a leader who has remained deeply connected to the people and understood their aspirations from close quarters. My best wishes to him for a fruitful tenure ahead.
