@bronwynstuart Agreed! I love inclusivity in writing but I’m very against writing a cultural perspective you do not have. You can include characters of colour without stepping into their authoritative space - and then support their stories in that space wherever possible!

My brother drove a van to Melbourne this weekend and has brought back boxes of childhood memories that were stored there for us to clean out. It’s a blessing and a curse to have so many things from my childhood. I am particularly concerned at child me and her choices of memories.

Today I bought a giant box of Quality Street chocolates because sometimes you just need a bloody good box of chocolates in order to face the student essays you have to mark atm. Unrelated - but how much alcohol to marking makes a good ratio in order to, you know, survive?
