You see little tension because you have the luxury of not being affected.

Women don’t owe it to anyone to accept males in their sports or private spaces. Calling women’s objections a “manufactured culture war” erases the real consequences for women and girls.

No woman became female through self-declaration, pronouns, paperwork, exogenous hormones or surgery. If being a woman doesn't happen like that for actual female human beings, why would it happen like that for men and boys? Women’s rights are based on the reality of sex, not the belief that a woman or a girl is a human performance, a medical condition or a man or boy's dysphoric reaction to being male.

When women's consent is ignored and women are treated as if we're obliged to accomodate men and boys who claim to be women for specious and shallow reasons, women's rights are treated as secondary. Women have once againd become second-class citizens after centuries of fighting for our human rights and dignity as a human beings. Sex is a human condition, not a medical condition. Sex and being male or female is an innate and natural condition, not a man-made or artificial condition.

If trans people have the right to choose the sex of those they share spaces or competitions with, then women and girls must have that same right. That isn’t hatred -- it’s equal rights applied consistently.

Silencing women who say “no” is not progressive. It’s authoritarian and misogynistic. Any ideology that demands women’s consent be ignored in the name of compassion for men who presently and historically violate women's consent and agency mirrors the same patriarchal control feminism fought to end.

Women who object aren’t hateful; we’re defending boundaries rooted in human rights law. If inclusion means forcing women to surrender privacy and fairness, then the problem isn’t with women -- it’s with the ideology demanding submission and people like you imposing that ideology. An ideology most people find insane and incoherent -- very few people believe it once they understand what is they're meant to believe -- and, the few who claim to believe it mostly do so for reasons of status and power. They have no reasonable explanation for their beliefs -- only silly clap-backs and inane platitudes repeated ad nauseum to show simpering solidarity -- like a nightmare re-enactment of Animal Farm.

Compassion doesn’t require submission. Dignity isn’t one-sided. Women and girls deserve dignity and compassion, too. No one gets to redefine what that means for all of us.
