A burn ban is in effect for Kaufman County thru Oct. 30 or until drought conditions improve. All outdoor burning, for fires used for recreation, ceremony, disposal, & land clearing, is prohibited. Vilators receive a Class C misdemeanor with a fine of up to $500.
