China’s biggest DRAM maker, CXMT, is suing the U.S. Department of Defense over its blacklisting as a company allegedly tied to the Chinese military.

CXMT says its memory chips are standard civilian products made to JEDEC specifications, not military hardware. The company also claims it spent more than a year giving the Pentagon information to challenge the decision.

According to CXMT, the Pentagon briefly indicated it would remove the company from the list before withdrawing that decision the same day.
