Privacy szn is big

@NullMaskio is already the #1 privacy protocol by revenue on @DefiLlama

solana:HuAXPyDWDaMYFKuwQHpqL1oPnj93zdzWmtvFGzCeCUa7 is the main gem of this narrative and the market still hasn't priced it well

[Nullmask @NullMaskio]

Nullmask is #1 privacy protocol by revenue on @DefiLlama.

$179.8K in 7 days.

This week, more than Railgun, Tornado Cash and Privacy Cash combined.

[heat @heat]

holy fuck. look at this.

solana:HuAXPyDWDaMYFKuwQHpqL1oPnj93zdzWmtvFGzCeCUa7 is officially sitting at #1 in the entire Privacy category on DefiLlama by reported 7-day fees.

ahead of Tornado Cash, Railgun and every other protocol on the list.

let that sink in.

~$180K in reported fees over the last 7 days.

and we’re talking about a project that only launched its shielded product earlier this month.

one important distinction: DefiLlama includes both actual shielded-pool fees and ZEC rewards received by the team’s wallet from $MASK token distributions. so the entire $180K isn’t purely generated by privacy transactions.

but the bigger picture is still pretty fucking interesting.

the protocol is already processing millions in volume, generating real deposit and withdrawal fees, expanding across chains and shipping updates constantly.

meanwhile, $MASK is still sitting around an ~$18–20M market cap.

the market is treating this like another speculative microcap while the team is building actual privacy infrastructure.

and we’re still waiting on Solana, private perps and other potential integrations.

i genuinely think people are underestimating how quickly this ecosystem is developing.

the chart might look ugly right now, but the fundamentals are becoming harder to ignore.

#1 in DefiLlama’s 7-day privacy fees ranking.

and we’re just getting started.

mask on. conviction unchanged.

People used to let everything get collected on the internet. Now VPNs are everywhere, Apple sells “privacy,” and even the average person knows it’s worth protecting. Awareness around privacy is up. @NullMaskio @TheDesertLynx

mask ama summary ep. 2:

just finished today’s $mask ama with quai network and dashpay and i think the market is still looking at nullmask way too narrowly.

people keep reducing it to “privacy pool.”

that’s not really what the roadmap sounds like anymore.

the product already has real traction.

$12m deposited into the shielded pool.

60k+ users.

~$1m distributed in zec rewards.

~600 txs per day.

and the team said the launch feedback has been strong while the aml screening system has been performing well.

but the more interesting part is where they’re trying to take this.

solana.

more evm expansion.

private perps.

larger shielded pools.

private ens combined with utxos.

better withdrawal privacy.

and one thing that caught my attention a lot:

they’re building a new solana feature/product that they didn’t want to reveal yet, but described as something that basically doesn’t exist today.

if they actually deliver something genuinely new there, that could be a pretty revolutionary unlock for privacy on solana.

and that’s exactly why i think the scope here is becoming much bigger than “shield funds and withdraw later.”

the real thesis is starting to look more like private financial infrastructure.

crypto still has a massive design flaw that everyone somehow accepted as normal.

your wallet is basically a public bank account.

anyone can see what you hold.

what you receive.

what you spend.

where you send it.

how much you’re worth.

that’s insane when you actually think about it.

you wouldn’t walk into a coffee shop and hand the barista your full bank statement before paying.

but onchain we basically do the equivalent every day.

what i liked about today’s discussion is that they’re clearly not positioning privacy around “how do we hide shady activity.”

they’re positioning it around normal financial privacy while keeping compliance in mind.

and i think that distinction is huge.

privacy tech became toxic for a lot of builders after tornado cash.

not because the demand disappeared.

because the regulatory risk became impossible to ignore.

if nullmask can make privacy compliant enough for wallets, stablecoins, exchanges, businesses and apps to actually integrate it, then privacy stops being a niche destination.

it becomes a feature.

eventually maybe an expectation.

the ai angle also gets more interesting the deeper you think about it.

we’re moving toward a world where autonomous agents will hold funds, make payments, rebalance portfolios and interact with protocols.

do we really want every agent to operate with a wallet where the entire financial history is visible to anyone?

private agent wallets.

private stablecoins.

private payroll.

private treasury management.

private payments.

that market could end up being much bigger than “privacy coins.”

and that’s why i think $mask is starting to sit at the intersection of multiple narratives instead of just one.

privacy.

ai agents.

digital cash.

stablecoins.

enterprise.

zec.

solana.

evm.

perps.

and potentially a completely new privacy primitive on solana that we still don’t even know the details of yet.

the interesting part is that these don’t feel randomly glued together either.

they all point toward the same endgame.

make onchain finance private by default.

not hidden.

not unusable.

not regulatory suicide.

just private.

$mask isn’t trying to build somewhere you temporarily hide funds.

it’s trying to build the privacy layer underneath how people actually use crypto.

if they execute on that, the upside is way bigger than the current “privacy token” framing.

today’s ama made that thesis even clearer to me.
