On this day in 1939, Nazis and Soviets held a joint military parade in Brest-Litovsk to celebrate their successful invasion of Poland.

In this colorized photo, we see German General Heinz Guderian and Soviet Brigade Commander Semyon Krivoshein smiling together.

Just five days earlier, on September 17, 1939, russia invaded Poland, 16 days after Nazis did the same. All in accordance with the secret protocol of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. Stalin was the greatest collaborator with Nazis. A legacy that russians continue today.

As a kid, growing up in the Soviet occupied Ukraine, I was always taught that evil Nazis attacked good Soviets. In reality, both were evil, both were genocidal, both started the WW2. The only difference, Nazism was defeated, but ruscism sill exists.
