Just a thought for those who are stepping away or quitting LADS: this is where fan works shine.

Sometimes creators will disappoint you and make stupid decisions, so all you have left to keep enjoying the characters and world you love are fan works. My example here is Harry Potter. I’ve loved and enjoyed fan works of these characters and world more than the original, esp after the writer went to shit.

You don’t need the game to keep enjoying the world. Would it be preferable because of the interactive aspect? Sure, but there are still options and sometimes they turn out to be even better.

You can keep your faves “alive” through the love of fan creators or become one yourself. You don’t need to be a pro writer/artist to make your own food. But you could also get commissions from writers/artists you like and use the money you would’ve spent on banners on people actually giving you what you want. It’ll be money better spent tbh.

I’ma be real after what I’ve experienced this past month with Valko….with how poorly he was treated, how easily he was left behind, I stopped logging in even in HSR, not just LaDs

At this point, I’m completely turned off by all Chinese gachas and games. This whole situation was so fucking traumatizing that it genuinely broke whatever gacha addiction I had. If there’s one positive outcome, it’s that I’m finally free of that cycle, and got myself a PS5 pro and probably will get a better PC to play completed non-gacha visual novels. I’m good now, I’d rather play bunch of indie games & triple A global games and avoid CN games all together.
