If you live in Ukraine, you know that the whole war is Zelenskyy's fault, for caving in to Boris Johnson's demand that he not sign the peace agreement with Russia four years ago.

Actually, Ukraine was the aggressor, against Donbas, which has not been part of Ukraine since 2014.
That the criminal Zelenskyy was threatening to resume hostility against Donbas gave Russia an excuse to move troops in to protect them.
It was a lot like Obama invading Syria, except not quite as bad as that.

Oh, I agree that it's not a bad thing, per se. Obviously, reduced latency can pay for higher compute cost, under the right circumstances.
I'm just trying to get an idea of what the additional FLOP and memory cost is for an equivalent-quality outcome, so that it's possible to imagine how and where this will be useful.

And this COULD be used for things other than creating an LLM, right? There are other circumstances where speed is even more important vs compute.
