Mangaluru’s railways are finally coming under one roof!

A long-pending demand is being fulfilled as the Mangaluru railway region, currently divided across Southern & South Western Railways, is being brought under South Western Railway’s Mysuru Division.

This gives me a great sense of contentment, especially because this is a demand we raised as a priority within days of taking oath as your MP in June 2024.

Since then, we have pursued it relentlessly - taking it up repeatedly with our Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw, whose proactive engagement and responsiveness in taking forward this long-pending demand I deeply appreciate. We have also used every available parliamentary and institutional forum to highlight the concern and press for its expeditious resolution.

This is a significant step for Mangaluru - reducing jurisdictional hurdles, improving coordination, enabling faster resolution of passenger concerns and giving greater focus to railway infrastructure and connectivity across coastal Karnataka.

With the formal notification expected soon, we will be better placed to address many of our railway-related concerns and, most importantly, enable Mangaluru’s railways to move faster on the tracks of Vikas.

Grateful to our Government led by PM Shri @narendramodi, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS Shri @VSOMANNA_BJP for making this possible.

Extremely disappointed with the service from @TVSMotorCompany.
My TVS Jupiter (KA19EW1334) was given for insurance claim service on 6th April 2026. The claim is already approved, yet the service centre has been delaying repairs for over a month citing “parts not available.”

Gives me great joy to share that a long pending demand of Railway users of Dakshina Kannada - Extension of the Mangalore to Kabaka-Puttur Passenger train to Subramanya - which we have been relentlessly pursuing has been approved by our Union Ministry of Railways.

As I had mentioned in my letters to officials and the Ministry, this extension will significantly boost the connectivity between the hinterlands and Mangaluru, thereby developing regions around Kukke Subrahmanya as well as provide a convenient & affordable mode of commute to pilgrims as well as the local population.

I thank our Union Minister for Railways @AshwiniVaishnaw and MoS Railways @VSOMANNA_BJP for enabling this sanction and fulfilling a much sought request of the people of Dakshina Kannada.

The swift response to public appeals is a huge testimony of our PM Shri @narendramodi led govt’s commitment to good governance for the realisation of Viksit Bharat.
