@OfficialJLD enjoying listening to you and Nancy Pelosi. Did her description of fighting her way through obstacles remind you of inveniam viam aut faciam? #femalepower#leadership
@chrissyfarr 2nd - make them tasty and interesting. From the first jar days my husband would add a different spice each time. Have her smell it and see which ones she liked best. Her first word was "yum." Then gave her a choice of spice w/ vegxxx ... at 14 she is a CIT at a cooking camp.
@B_Madden4 Also important to ask the accuracy of traditional health's margin calculations. Too often they don't really know their costs due to the tendency to conflate charge-master with cost. Not sure how much progress made since Uwe Reinhardt explained that HC didn't use cost accounting.
@chrissyfarr How long was your total time on line? Health systems are spending big to solve the fact that post covid drs are spending 14 minutes more/day on email. Patient time OTOH doesn't matter.
@LaurenBerson Repeat after me: "I am a role model." Your daughter will always know she can be a leader because you are. She can be an entrepreneur ... More importantly she can talk with you about what she wants. Life Gifts!
@AlyssaJoyJaffee 1) No such thing as balance. Make intentional trade-offs. If you don't feel good about them, make different ones next week.
2) If it can work in your family, divided as many things as possible on a rotating basis. Cross training makes travel and trading easier.
@JeromeAdamsMD@medpagetoday Most people can't handle the healthcare system. That is why trust is so low! Thanks for writing up a good example of the problems.
Curious why you went to the ED in the first place. You surely knew it was the most expensive site of care?
@chrissyfarr No need to be pregnant for the experience or add that toll to my body. Safe is one thing. equivalent is another. I don't think we know nearly enough yet about the details of in-utero developmental influences to synthesize it.
@AlyssaJoyJaffee It's a real and scary problem, but not destiny.
Daughter turned 14 last weekend. We had eight 8th graders over for 5 hours of board games. Judging by the volume of voices there was little phone use. Don't think I'm some special miracle worker. Your kids will probably be fine.
@chrissyfarr Serious fact checking needed if anyone answers yes to being asked. In business school I was looking for an international job. Every male interview asked me if I was seeing someone and would he move with me. My male housemates were Never asked about their romantic relationships.
@StuartBlitz Lots of good ideas out there solving the founder's experience of a problem more than the systems' experience of the problem. Must move the needle enough on the customers' top problems to be worth the change effort.
@AlyssaJoyJaffee Another example of stupid things done in the name of HIPAA. and of course, big health could care less what the consumers want. #ptolemaic
@Amazon Pharmacy - train your chat bot to answer the question βCan I order pseudoephedrine from you?β It is not a Schedule II drug. Be honest and clear. Donβt hide behind a false answer.
@frenelda@joshuapliu Building something implies a new silo that is unlikely to be interoperable with your patients let alone other stakeholders in an evolving market.
