No, it is that the games aren't good but they used to be. Even if i get bored of the Ubi formula I can't, after a long break, play their recent games but I can play their older ones. I don't have a huge nostalgic attachment to many older ubi games either so I'm not holding onto the past, I'm genuinely enjoying a good game.

I dreamt up a trick weapon i wish I could use in bloodborne. Did a quick doodle of the lance and it's trick form, showed grok my doodle and asked him to refine it (he REALLY struggled with the trick form so i had to do it myself) the lance came out great so I used some photo editing to extend the lance and fold the lance into it's trick form and added in some stock muzzle flash annnnnd voila! The Lance Cannon! I like to imagine it was used by the knights of Cainhurst before Martyr Logarius decided to be a big meanie.

In higher skill lobbies survivors use endurance and ds aggressively to waste killer time. I will body block for my recuerer with the endurance, deliberately aggro the killer into chasing me again, deliberately go down or jump in a locker before ds expires to stun the killer and keep running. It's really satisfying to do but I know it's not fair.

I actually don't consider myself high skill so this kind of playstyle is probably more common than you think.

This is fine. I'm totally cool with, for example, a story that follows a civilian as they try to survive the raccoon city outbreak as long as the movie follows the rules of the tvirus, umbrella, government response, ect. The story doesn't have to be about my favorite characters.

@inkfycreates It's the same for backline dps. Even if the damage is big pp audiences want to see hands thrown. It's rare to see the archer or the sniper play the lead i feel.

Though as a support main I wouldn't mind being the main character one time.

I always thought selling consoles at a deficit to get people into the Playstation/xbox economy was the reason costs were lower. If they aren't lower why wouldn't I just go to steam?

@lotfgame I know umbral is core to the game but I honestly hated switching between realms. I actually stopped playing because of it. My eyes rolled out of skull everytime I saw an area that was inaccessible because I knew I was gonna have to switch in and out of umbral over and over again.
