Finally all our A Level students got the grades they deserved today. One of the nicer jobs was to let them all know that their hard work had paid off. Just waiting for updates on BTEC qualifications that should come through next week.
Returning to school dates:
Year 7: 7th of September
Year 8-11 & 13: 8th of September
Year 12: 14th of September
We are really looking forward to seeing our lovely students and their smiling faces.
Well done to all our Yr11s today. Every grade is the outcome of a determined student who worked hard and developed their knowledge and skills. Students be proud, Staff be proud, Parents be proud!
Good luck to all students on their results this week, at KCA we will be accepting applications based on Centre Assessed Grades where they are higher than the the results on Thursday. We wanted to assure you we are committed to your future, support and guidance will be available.
I am really proud Head of Sixth Form. This year has been a really tough year and yet year 13 you took it in your stride. Even with the strange situation today you still kept smiling. So good to see you today, go through your plans and have a good laugh, going to miss you.
Thank you to all the excellent staff at KCA who have worked tirelessly to support the students achieving the success this year. Also a big thank you to Mrs Davis who has led the 6th form at KCA supporting students and staff, she will be missed.
As well as celebrating 50 years of education in Kempston, we are happy to congratulate our determined Yr 13 students as they move onto the next stage of their lives.
One of the most pleasing things for me is the increase numbers wanting to go to university when they leave KCA. This year the subject choices have become even more varied. Over the last 4 years raising the aspirations of our students is one of my greatest achievement.
Well a very strange year comes to an end and the school break for summer. I look forward to seeing year 13 on 13th to get their results. Year 12 it’s time to recharge and for me it’s time to enjoy the summer ready for my retirement at the end of August.
So lovely to hear from ex students and how they are doing. It makes me so proud to hear how studying at KCA has helped them gain the skills they have needed to be successful.
Plans are well underway for me to be able to offer a face to face meeting with year 12’s after 2nd June, so we can discuss how they are doing and what further support they might need need. Details to follow.
