Willow Class enjoyed a visit to @galleriesmuseum today to view The Society of Wood Engravers 87th Annual Exhibition. 🪵 🖼️ We had the opportunity to create some amazing prints and some of us even took inspiration from some of the fantastic pieces on display. #KCEArt @KirkbyCofE

🇬🇧 Willow Class enjoyed celebrating VE Day today by designing commemorative coins to highlight 80 years since WWII ended and wrote poems to pay tribute to those who fought during the war too. We then performed our poems during a special VE Day assembly. 🇬🇧 #KCEhistory #VEDay80

Year 5 have loved two weeks of swimming at Kirkby Leisure Centre—everyone worked hard and made fantastic progress! We celebrated our Swimmers of the Week with a well-earned rest at the legendary elephant on the way back. #kcepe

Sycamore Class had a good time playing recorders to accompany 'You've Got a Friend' by Carole King as part of our Charanga music this half term - plus a few obligatory renditions of hot cross Buns. 🎵 🎵🪈🎶 #kcemusic

Today, Sycamore Class became blood cells! ❤️💙 We built a model of the circulatory system and moved around like blood, carrying oxygen through the body. Blue cards = deoxygenated, red cards = oxygenated. A fun way to learn how our bodies work! Thanks Mrs Smith. #kcescience

Willow Class had a fantastic day celebrating World Book day 🌍📚 The costumes were fantastic and we enjoyed taking part in lots of fun activities, from writing a letter to our favourite author to designing our very own book covers📕Well done everyone 👏 @WorldBookDayUK

Sycamore's parents and grandparents joined us in class. We challenged them to use relative clauses during sentence accuracy, then we designed monuments and wrote epitaphs for Rose Blanche. We brought our tributes to life using AI. Thanks for being part of session!#kcewriting

Sycamore Class has been busy in DT, creating WW2-themed automata using cams and followers! ⚙️✂️ We measured, cut, folded, designed, and evaluated our mechanisms—bringing history to life with moving models! #kcedt #kcehistory
