I innocently wandered into lincraft for their 40% sale.
Pretty sure I was mugged between the fabric isle and the lace isle and that's why I have 2 new craft projects and less money....
@EmmaXStories my first time having it I was like 26, the aldi had a bunch of it in stock and it was basically flavoured milk. It definitely tasted better cold.
It's super american thing, so I think those of us in the tiny rest of the world mostly havent had it
Im at that point in my novel where I am excited about it, but also wanting it to be finished, like, magically done so I can read it. Only the magic is me typing to that point and I'm confused
@KyraMNelson I think it depends on what you expect and want from writing as to whether it is time to quit. If the dream is to be supported financially by your writing, or just to get your books out into the world? And if achieving that dream is more important that the creative journey there?
@Katleen_A_Cooke It is, a lot of authors feel the need to "defend" against bad reviews. It usually doesn't do any good for the book. A "thank you for the review" is fine, but nothing more or just ignoring bad comments is best.
#writingtip don't reply to reviews. Good or bad. Just stay out of the reviews of your book. That space is not for you, its for readers.
This has been said so much, but yikes, it still happens.
@TheCleftonTwain I got told to do it when I was a teen writing fanfic- as it engages the fanfic readers and ups reviews, but I always felt it was better not to, maybe I just read early advice and took it to heart
