@TmnHzll @AussieBIMGuru @ADSKCommunity@BIMchiq@AutodeskRevit If an ownership issue arose, those two individuals would take priority & the sequence would pick back up where it left off. In the current climate of WFH, an app that somehow establishes a list of active users then informs individuals it's about time to Sync would be brilliant!
@TmnHzll @AussieBIMGuru @ADSKCommunity@BIMchiq@AutodeskRevit Since many smart ideas have been offered up already... Once upon a time a large project team I was on had a physical flag that would get passed from desk to desk upon completion of a Sync to Central. This completely eliminated the painful queue.
After only a few hundred Google searches happy with the result! The hardest part by far was figuring out how to place as Blocks to maintain original materials. Shout-out to Human's PlaceBlock component, awesome to see these tools stand the test of time
On a more serious note, whipped up a simple script for batch populating selected polygon curves with randomly-placed 3D people to enhance @Enscape3d renders in Rhino
When the Manufacturer has a Downloads section of their website where you can acquire parametric Revit families for all the straight & square trusses in their catalog BUT have conveniently omitted the much more complex Circular Box Truss... you build your own!
@archinate @nealbij Don't forget about the Lever House! Still one of my favorites from the past, @Jamie_Farrell & I got A LOT of mileage out of this sample model while teaching computation at @TheBACBoston a few years back
just reran my first #DynamoBIM script. It led me to meet @KCMarchitect & @Jamie_Farrell , take their class on #DynamoBIM, take @ColinMcCrone's advice to apply to confs, present it at my first @BILTevent (to a kind aud. of 6 ppl), and join twitter. fuck its been a crazy 4 years.

@solamour@DynamoBIM hacking Revit Curtain Wall to imitate brick patterning. LONG run times but worth it in the end for precision control & max customization
@Twiceroadsfool@TmnHzll Everybody knows... it's NOT the size of your monitors, it's how many you use simultaneously. And yes I overrode the linework green, because money.
Experimentz in Revit batch instantiation... in spite of this claustrophobic quad-monitor trading labyrinth, I still enjoy the occasional visual indulgence from random family patterning.
@Twiceroadsfool@TmnHzll Full disclosure, that family was discovered by searching "trader" in an old content location... But since I now have your attention, feast your eyes on THIS:
@snowyweston HA! Just another of my questionable creations. Maybe THIS is why I’m sequestered to support & innovation rather than Design?... That & I picked some random old family out of the pile without inspecting it first 😉
