I had a laugh out loud moment when I heard who the North Idaho RINOs (NIR) invited to speak at THEIR event later this month. It’s both funny and disturbing if you know the backstory.

The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee (KCRCC) is the official Republican Party and we host the best Lincoln Day Dinner in the state, attended by 500+ true Idaho Republicans. The dinner, held at The Resort, starts with a VIP reception with hosted bar and hors d’oeuvres for the table sponsors. Everyone enjoys a delicious three course dinner including salad, Surf ‘n Turf and our exciting Dessert Dash. Every guest has multiple chances to win several guns and other prizes and will vote for the winner of the student speech contest.

This year’s speakers include BOCC Chairman Bruce Mattare, State Party Chairman Dorothy Moon, US Representative Russ Fulcher, US Senator Jim Risch, Attorney General Raul Labrador and former Congressman Matt Gaetz. We all know that outspoken conservative Republicans are targets for false accusations of improper behavior. Roy Moore, Brett Kavanaugh, Curtis Hill, Pete Hegseth, Matt Schlapp, Herman Cain, Donald Trump and Matt Gaetz have all faced false accusations; accusations that conveniently arise at critical moments and then quickly evaporate when their usefulness has passed.

NIR spokesmen and their Democrat allies are morally preening claiming that having Matt Gaetz speak at Lincoln Day is “wrong” for Republican values and that they will boycott, as if they would have actually bought tickets.

Last time I checked, innocent until proven guilty is a foundational Republican value. Guilt by accusation is a Democrat thing. Gaetz has never been charged, let alone convicted of anything. The drug addicted prostitute accuser dropped her civil suit because of an overwhelming lack of credibility. Gaetz explained during a Tucker Carlson interview that it all started as an extortion plot against his father and ballooned from there. It is a fascinating story and one you should hear firsthand before passing judgment.

For all their pretend moral superiority the NIR gang has asked David Leroy to be the speaker at their event. Leroy is a Boise lawyer, former Lt. Governor and former Attorney General who likes to play dress up as Abraham Lincoln and pretend he’s the 16th President. That doesn’t sound bad…yet.

In 2021 Leroy was the attorney defending convicted rapist Aaron von Ehlinger. That sounds bad, but every person who is accused deserves a vigorous defense. What Leroy did do was to dox the rape victim by sending her file to reporter Bill Spence at the Lewiston Tribune. THAT is bad. It’s an ethics violation that would get most lawyers disbarred.

It is so bad that Representative Priscilla Giddings was charged with a House Ethics Violation just because she included a link to the Lewiston Tribune article in her newsletter. I am sure the fact that Speaker of the House Scott Bedke and Giddings were both running for Lt. Governor had NOTHING to do with Giddings being charged.

Leroy releasing the identity of a 19 year old rape victim is not an accusation, it is a documented fact. So what happened to Leroy? The same thing that happens to every well connected establishment RINO. Nothing. Not even a slap on the wrist. What David Leroy does get is an NIR invitation to play Lincoln dress up.

Before you pass judgment, hear both sides. It’s the Republican thing to do.

It’s just common sense.

Bonus question: What do you call a herd of RINOs?

We are pleased to share that the Idaho Attorney General has fully exonerated Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris regarding his actions at our February 22, 2025, town hall event. After a thorough investigation, the AG found no evidence of wrongdoing. Sheriff Norris acted in good faith to maintain order and preserve the peace, as is his duty.

This decision affirms what we've known all along: Our events are about civil discourse and hearing from our leaders, not disruptions.

Good afternoon,

Recently, I’ve been receiving questions from voters who are confused about who the Idaho GOP is and what we stand for. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, so I’m going to tell you the truth.

The Idaho Republican Party is an organization that has existed since before Idaho’s statehood. We are affiliated with the Republican National Committee, which traces its roots back to the little schoolhouse in Ripon, Wisconsin, where men and women came together to oppose the spread of slavery.

The Idaho GOP is made up of voters, volunteers, precinct committeemen, and elected officials from across Idaho. Precinct committeemen (PCs) are elected by Republican voters every two years and come together to form committees at the legislative district and county levels. These committees are official chapters of the Idaho GOP.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 (𝗞𝗖𝗥𝗖𝗖). 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 “𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘀” 𝗼𝗿 “𝗚𝗢𝗣” 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 - 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼.

Folks, the truth matters. The truth is that the KCRCC is the only official Republican organization in Kootenai County. Other groups, such as the so-called “North Idaho Republicans,” are using the name in a cynical attempt to fool voters into supporting their slates of candidates.

Don’t be fooled. Leaders and members of this outside organization have publicly supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, as well as ranked-choice voting. Their recommended slates often include Democrats. They are anything but Republicans.

The Republican brand is known and respected throughout Idaho, especially in Kootenai County. Voters trust that the PCs and officers of the KCRCC do their due diligence in vetting and recommending candidates for state and local office, using the Idaho GOP Platform as their measuring stick. As a statewide candidate in 2022, I went through that vetting process myself - and I can tell you from firsthand experience that it is thorough. KCRCC PCs do not take that responsibility lightly.

I believe words matter. If you call yourself a Republican, that means you are part of the official Republican Party and that you support the Idaho GOP Platform.

True Republicans are not afraid of debate, and we’re not afraid of the truth. It’s time for these outside groups - made up of leftists, progressives, Democrats, whatever you want to call them - to take off the mask and stop trying to fool voters with their lies.

The conservative community of Kootenai County are furious over assistant professor Matthew Singer’s revolting Facebook post celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death as a "sacrifice for our 2nd Amendment rights" and mockingly writing "thots and preyers you make it to hell" - a blatant insult to Christians and our faith. NIC's assistant professor is teaching OUR kids with OUR tax dollars, glorifying violence against his political enemies. This rhetoric threatens conservative students, making them feel unsafe in his classroom. President Swayne and the elected Board, whose role is to represent the people, must do the right thing NOW. North Idaho College claims to value a “safe and respectful” environment. Time to prove it! Free speech doesn’t excuse a taxpayer-funded educator shaping young minds this way. The community demands full accountability and his firing. NOW!

Last night, over 1,000 supporters gathered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, for a candlelight vigil to honor and remember Charlie Kirk, a beacon of conservative values and a tireless advocate for our youth. This event, organized by our KCRCC Youth Committeeman, Patrick Wolf, was a powerful testament to the impact Charlie had on our community and our nation.

We were blessed to have Pastor Tim Remington share his inspiring words, reminding us of the resilience of faith and the importance of unity in times of loss. Additionally, Pastor John Padula from The Altar Church and Pastor Matt Irving from North Star Baptist Church joined us, offering their support and prayers, further strengthening our community bond.

Charlie's legacy of inspiring young people to engage in politics and stand up for their beliefs will continue to guide us. We are grateful to everyone who attended and to those who shared their support online. Let's carry forward Charlie's mission with renewed determination!
