Due to area flooding and potential early morning hazardous road conditions, Kannapolis City schools will operate on a two-hour delay schedule for Wednesday, January 10th. Breakfast and lunch will still be served at all schools.

KCS is excited to share that Bernard Waugh has been named the new principal at Shady Brook Elementary!

Mr. Waugh has served in KCS for many years, first as an outstanding teacher at Kannapolis Middle School, and most recently as the assistant principal at Forest Park Elementary.

Rolonda served within the KCS district for over 20 years.

She was truly a compassionate professional and was well known, and well-thought-of, in the KCS community.

Last week we celebrated 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲!🎉

Each year our Pre-K through 2nd graders get to explore 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱. Beginning this year, however, our 3rd through 5th graders will dive into the new 𝗖𝗞𝗟𝗔 curriculum as well!📚
