Most if not all franchises across all sports have had championship level teams that simply played in the wrong era. Despite their greatness they met the immovable force of an all time team, built with all time players.
#ChiefsKingdom is lucky to be on the other side of this one
Someone as successful as a billionaire likely isn’t super excited by the proposition of selling 230 million in revenue generating assets (add 20%+ for tax purposes) for the 8th best QB who’s missed 10 games the last two years and whose play style makes him prone to injury.
Based on the discourse around Lamar Jackson I’m fairly confident most fans & pundits don’t realize 1 of or both:
1) In the #NFL, an amount equal to guaranteed money must be placed in escrow when a deal is finalized
2) Billionaires are relatively illiquid for a reason
Had a normally contentious #Patriots fan tell me today it’s the #Mahomes era, and I’ve never felt more like #ChiefsKingdom had arrived than that moment.
Lots of blood, sweat and beers to get to the top of the #NFL mountain 😉
The pass landed a step & a half (maybe 2) from where Juju ended up. If Bradberry doesn’t hold that’s a touchdown.
What people like Lewis are advocating for is that defenders can break the rules at the most pivotal points of the game.
If you think this idk what to tell you…
I honestly can’t fathom why Netflix ever chose to profile this guy.
I’ve watched every season of Last Chance U, and relative to some of coaches with SERIOUS character flaws this guy was in a whole other league.
Would have made more sense if he was super talented but he wasn’t
Rewatching #SuperBowl, big takeaway is you play that game 10x & the #Chiefs blow out the #Eagles ~7/10x.
Chiefs should have scored 52 imo, and the Chiefs defense was INCHES from killing multiple Eagles scoring drives.
Only reason it was close - Hurts had the game of his life
The pundits acting like no legitimate network personality said #Chiefs would miss the playoffs, finish last in the division, or any number of negative takes must not understand how the internet works.
The internet is forever, & so are those awful takes. The bill has come due.
Had a great time joining @LWeberRadio on ESPN “The Jock” (@969TheJOCK). We covered:
-Mahomes’ All Pro nod and #MVP probability
-Multiple major #NFL playoff matchups
-And more!
Take a listen #ChiefsKingdom !

It is kind of wild so few people are grasping the reality of the precedent set.
Obviously, the catalyst for this situation is understood but ignoring a concrete rule to appeal to subjectivity - especially in season - sets the stage for add’l challenges long term.
It’s wild the QB who lost arguably the best WR in the #NFL (Tyreek Hill) and is having the best statistical season in a harder conference (AFC), ahead of QBs who all have multiple superstar WRs (Hurts & Burrow), is no longer the favorite for MVP.
Make it make sense…
This is KIND OF the #Chiefs this season. They either go into games not taking teams seriously, get up on a team and get overconfident, or get WAY up and mail it in.
I’m not even 100% we know what this team is leading into the playoffs. Could be a good thing, could be bad.
The #Chiefs overconfidence in the Mahomes era continues to rear its ugly head.
It’s cost them games, arguably a playoff game, and maybe a Super Bowl.
I’m curious what will cause it to officially end.
May be biased, but this is 100% on coaches.
Offensively, clearly decided game was over in the first half. Struggled to get play calling back on track.
Defensively, I mean what is their to say. That’s a historically bad offense in the #Broncos
People are being hard on Mahomes, and I get it on some level.
But the truth is, #Chiefs DO NOT win this game without 2-3 INSANE plays from Mahomes.
He made 3 bad decisions. There are FAR more concerning issues. He’s not even on my personal list of questions after today.
