Exercise reduces your risk for chronic disease. It protects your heart and reduces your risk of heart attack and stroke. It reduces inflammation (the cause of almost every disease of aging) and it balances hormones, therefore reducing breast and other common cancers.
I have seen thousands of ill patients become thriving, healthy humans by taking a comprehensive approach to wellness by eating real food, reducing stress, & incorporating movement.
What connects their experiences, however, is & will always be food.
My own kids have never come home talking about teachers who are creative or innovative. (And these are great things.) But they have consistently talked about teachers who had high expectations, who loved teaching, and who strived to connect with their students.
We need to take back our schools from the food industry. Here’s how:
- Introduce salad bars in schools
- Eliminate processed junk foods from school menus
- Support farm to school programs
- Teach basic cooking skills to schools
- Ban junk food marketing that preys on kids
5 Ways to be More Positive:
1. Count your blessings. You can’t be stressed and thankful at the same time.
2. See your challenges as opportunities for growth.
3. Don’t listen to your negative thoughts.
4. Feed yourself with positive encouragement.
5. Choose faith instead of fear.
Remember... big opportunities come from doing the small things with a big dose of passion, love, purpose and excellence. Be faithful with what you have and where you are today. Don't chase success. Decide to get better every day, do great work and success will find you.
