As I conclude my visit to Japan and head back home, I can’t help but appreciate the excellent foundation in bilateral ties which Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji has laid with our strategic partner countries since 2014.

Coming from Assam, the respect and warmth we received from Government and business leaders here reflect the pivotal role of North Eastern States in furthering India’s diplomatic prowess.

Starting tomorrow, I will be in Singapore for the next two days to promote Advantage Assam, highlighting the state’s growing potential in sectors such as semiconductors, deep technology, infrastructure, and manufacturing. We will host a roadshow and hold one-on-one meetings with industry leaders to explore strategic collaborations and investment opportunities. A key focus will be on positioning Assam as an emerging hub for advanced industries and innovation.

This morning, I attended the Orientation Camp for the SEIL participants held at SIPRD, Kahikuchi, Guwahati and met the students from Dima Hasao and wish them all the best for the journey, for enriching experiences.

Reconnecting with SEIL (Students' Experience in Inter-state Living), a unique project run by ABVP since 1966.
A total of 237 students from NE states including 8 students from Dima Hasao will be visiting different parts of the country in 8 batches and staying in Host Families.

I fondly recall taking part in SEIL tours, first time in 1983-84, visiting West & South India and second time in 1986, visiting West and North India. Celebrating Unity in Diversity and finding similarities rather than harping on differences.

Moving into a new era of man-animal coexistence 🚆🐘

The extensive usage of tech by @RailMinIndia is transforming railway operations. Recently, 60 elephants safely crossed a rail line in Lumding section when Loco Pilots of Kamrup Express were alerted by Intrusion Detection System, an AI based tool to detect track intrusion and they stopped the train to allow a free passage.

Animal welfare lies at the core of our philosophy and principles.

My compliments to the Loco Pilot and ALP for displaying compassion towards the gentle giants.
