I firmly believe that if State Governments invest more in their health systems through State Health Insurance Schemes and other programs, many current challenges could be significantly reduced. In Kebbi State, we’ve witnessed the effectiveness of this approach, where #cancer patients have access to chemotherapy and other treatments at no cost. KECHEMA with support from @KBStGovt, @NhisNg and @UNICEF, has gathered different stakeholders in the health-related sectors and development partners in the State to develop a ten year strategic development plan for 2023-2033. This is aimed at achieving #UHC in the state.
While congratulating the OICs for their facilities passing the accreditation process. The ES however, called on them to strictly work with KECHEMA operational guideline and to ensure judicious utilization of resources coming to their facilities.

The ES KECHEMA urges the WDCs to support the agency in ensuring transparency, accountability and prudence management of funds send to their various PHCs by KECHEMA and Kebbi SPHCDA for the overall development of the Health System and improved healthcare delivery in the state.
Earlier last week KECHEMA conducted a 2 day training for Ward Development Committee (WDC) Chairmen in the State on their roles and responsibilities in the Management of BHCPF and KECHES scheme for effective service delivery at primary healthcare centres in the state.
#WorldMalariaDay2023: In Africa, we are witnessing successes in fighting malaria esp. now that we have newer tools such as vaccines to end malaria. As the Net Champion of Kebbi State, H.E @DrZSB has been at the forefront of fighting malaria in Kebbi and beyond. Not long ago, the @KBStGovt equipped 527 Health Facilities across Kebbi with Malaria Testing Kits, free drugs for malaria treatment and supported the distribution of over 2.8 million Insecticide Treated Nets in the State. Yesterday at the flag off ceremony of the formal sector enrollment in to the KECHES. The executive governor of Kebbi State H. E Sen. @AABagudu who was ably represented by the state SSG call on Civil Servants to support the agency for the smooth implementation of its program.
In his remark, the ES KECHEMA, Dr Jafar Muhammad Augie said over 89,000 Civil Servants would be captured in the scheme both state and local govt workers. He said the enrollment exercise is expected to be completed within 2 months.
