From Boris Johnson's election onwards, we've been shuffling the bollards on the Titanic.

You have to actually change direction if you want to avoid crashing into the iceberg:

- End Net Zero
- Make business viable again
- Get welfare under control
- Fund defence
- Ensure equality under the law
- Arrest criminals and keep them in jail
- Deport illegal immigrants and close the border
- Bring the civil service to heel

Burnham will become as unpopular as Starmer within months since he isn't going to do any of that.

The End Fuel Poverty (EFP) coalition is upset about something the interim head of @ofgem, Tim Jarvis said in a speech recently

Jarvis said
"Evidence shows that many customers with energy arrears are more up to date with payment to other utilities and bills. So it is the energy bill that is not being prioritised."

“Energy cannot become a source of free or cheap credit by default.”

In the letter to Ofgem @si_francis of EFP wants the evidence for the above claim saying he's not aware of any... Well it's from a Experian UK report from October 2025: Update on key utilities trends: Unpicking arrears in energy

Experian’s analysis says that most customers behind on utility bills are up to date on other commitments. For consumers in energy arrears, it says 56% are also in arrears or default on water, but many have other commitments such as telecoms, credit cards, car finance and BNPL; Experian says around 72% of these other commitments are all up to date, and gives BNPL as an example where 92% of such commitments are up to date. It then suggests that because some of those debts carry interest, consumers may choose to pay those first

However if we really want cheap energy then we have to stop spending £billions on renewables subsidies, which forces us to spend more £billions on grid costs to connect the renewables, then more £billions to fix the problems the renewables cause on the grid (backup and balancing) and then more £billions are spent subsidising certain user groups

I agree with Tim Jarvis that energy shouldn't be treated as free credit but if we're going to deal with the increasing levels of energy arrears we have to tackle the core problem and that's the high cost of weather based renewables

I am trying to make people aware of the innocent British lives that have been lost due to our open borders.
This was Alice, aged just 14, raped to death, weighted down and thrown into a river.
It dates back to a time when immigrants arrived by the coachload, because we were in the EU.
This one arrived when Blair was PM.
He had already done time for the murder of his wife but even when he was arrested in the UK in 2009, no one checked his record, so he was never sent home.
The judge put Alice's death down as "unlawful killing" and also said that the victims death was not the fault of the police or Home Office, despite the fact that her killer should have been deported in 2009 under Blair.
I guess no one wanted this poor child on the "murdered list".
Maybe that is why she is not as well known as other murder victims?

The Rape Gang Inquiry - what happens next.

I intend to use my parliamentary privilege to name perpetrators and their enablers in the chamber.

This will be done incredibly carefully with our legal team involved every step of the way to ensure that no future prosecutions are jeopardised.

We are cooperating with the authorities in order to help cases be opened and reopened, but my faith in the system to independently deliver justice is not high...

That is why we are pursuing private prosecutions and civil litigation.

A target list has been identified, and it continues to grow.

This all has to be handled very carefully, for obvious reasons, but I am determined to act. We have had enough talk, now we need to act.

I am writing to you to ask you a simple question.

Do you think rapists, paedophiles and child groomers should be allowed to walk out of prison early?

I don't want these criminals on the streets early I am asking you to contact the Justice Secretary and tell him that plans to do this must be stopped.

Over the last several days potentially thousands of victims of horrific sexual violence have been written to by the Government telling them that the perpetrators who harmed them could be released early.

Victims like grooming gangs campaigner Fiona Goddard have received letters and have spoken out publicly about it. The Times also features the case of a victim of rape:

Earlier this year changes were made to our sentencing laws that meant the vast majority of offenders imprisoned on a Standard Determinate Sentence would spend less time in prison and importantly those already in prison would be let out earlier.

During the passage of the Bill the Government assured the public that the most serious offenders would be excluded from their plans. I don’t understand how anyone can say that any rape, sexual assault or case of child grooming should be considered as anything other than one of the most serious crimes?
We now know potentially thousands of victims of rape, child grooming, sexual assault and serious violence woke up to letters telling them that the vile perpetrators of the crimes against them could now be walking out of prison potentially years earlier.

Estimates are that more than 60% of those convicted of rape and 90% of those convicted of child grooming are given a Standard Determinate Sentence and are eligible for early release.

It is a disgrace that the victims of serious crime that have been through a traumatic trial and been given a date when their perpetrator will be released should now be told this is being brought forward.

It is not too late for them to change course. Please write to the Justice Secretary and urge him to urgently exempt at the very least all rapists, paedophiles and child groomers from early release.
