KEEF is looking for volunteer walkers, joggers, runners, and wheelchair users across Canada for a virtual 10km fundraising event. Participate at your location and date of choice between April 15 and 24. For details, contact Shelagh at [email protected] or 604-415-9397.

KEEF volunteer Shelagh Armour-Godbolt has just been named the 2020 recipient of the annual Government of Canada Volunteer Awards in the Community Leader category for the BC and the North region. Congratulations, Shelagh!

As you know, one of the most exciting parts of this year’s Virtual Sun Run is the participation of our KEEF KENYA Team! This team is a dozen strong, including teachers, a retired principal, several businesspeople, and a pastor.

Meet Susan Peake! Susan is one of KEEF’s individual walkers. Susan will be walking the Sun Run in Vancouver for her fourth year in a row! She is a past member of KEEF’s Board and an active KEEF volunteer and fundraiser. Thank you Susan for your service to KEEF!

Meet Faida! Faida is another one of our lovely Sun Run participants. She will be taking part in the run from Edmonton and will also promote KEEF through her personal social media.

Additionally, if you are interested in running solo, registration is open for individuals until April 13th. Whether it's raising money or awareness, we are grateful for all the participants running in support of KEEF.

Momentum builds as KEEF prepares for this year’s annual Sun Run – virtual edition! Already, we have several teams signed up across the country: Vancouver Island’s “Team Help KEEF Help Kids”, Ontario’s “Team KEEF”, and other awesome individuals and groups from the Lower Mainland.

In further exciting news, we are ecstatic to report that we have officially registered a team of Kenyans who will walk/run in Kenya for this year’s Sun Run in support of KEEF. The team will call themselves KEEF KENYA.

KEEF will be participating in the Vancouver Sun Run! The Sun Run is Canada’s largest street race. Due to Covid-19, the Sun Run will look a little different this year. With the help of creative individuals, the event will be held “virtually” over the period of April 18th – 30th.

Small Business Day! Covid-19 has had a huge effect on businesses across the world. In April alone, Canada reported over 88,000 business closures. Nearly half of Canadians know a small business that has closed permanently due to the pandemic; 8 out of 10 wish they could do more.
