ストリートファイターリーグには2018年から8年間出場を続けてきました。

選手リーダー制からチームオーナー制へ移行した2021年からは再春館SOL熊本に所属し、毎年優勝を目指してリーグに取り組んできました。しかし、昨年から『餓狼伝説』をはじめとするマルチタイトルへの挑戦を始め、リーグに出場しながら複数タイトルをプレイすることの難しさを強く実感しました。

各タイトルの大会スケジュールは自分で調整できるものではなく、十分な練習時間を確保できないまま本番を迎えて��まう可能性があります。そのような状態でチームに貢献しきれないのであれば申し訳ないと考え、今後はリーグへの選手としての出場を見送り、個人戦を優先することを決断しました。

再春館SOL熊本のリーダーはcosaに託し、自分はコーチとしてチームをサポートしながら、再春館SOL熊本の優勝を目指していきます。

I don’t think people realize just how insane it is for players like Xiao Hai and GO1 to maintain such high level play across multiple games at once. Even Tokido who used to walk around Evo with like 7 medals around his neck have dedicated to only one game.

It’s also an indication of just how serious players in Japan take this (with the caveat that they *can* as sponsors in the west haven’t been able to achieve similar status as the ones in Japan) that Nemo, a world class player who is doing so well in both games, finds himself “unfit” to remain sponsored as a player at the moment.

If Nemo reads this, I would like to say that I know it’s hard to succeed at both games at once, but I don’t think there has ever been a moment where myself and all of your other fans have ever felt you are underperforming or felt you aren’t playing at your best. It’s good to keep pushing yourself to do better, that’s how we succeed. But we all believe in you so much, and I can say I’ve always been amazed and proud of you for how much you’ve accomplished.

And I’m not saying this lightly, but I have always considered you as one of the smartest players out there. So I look forward to your continued play in whichever game you choose. Keep it up! ❤️❤️
