@TheVolitionist@ryanhallyall The whole time I was out that night I thought Man, this is really going to shake people up here. I know a lot of people were told by the AAPS back in the day that A2 was "immune" to tornados. It's lucky it wasn't a supercell tornado.
@TheVolitionist@ryanhallyall Unfortunately no, it was so rain-wrapped I'm not sure it would have been possible standing next to it! The damage was so different than a supercell storm, so erratic.
@TheVolitionist@ryanhallyall You were right in the thick of it! I'm actually curious how that particular area where you are did. I waited at Zeeb & Scio intersection as the rotation passed just north of me. It was solidly rain-wrapped, that's for sure. Awesome intensity.
@DAnalogArsonist@NWSDetroit I need to see what went down at MV,, kicking myself that I was at the corner of Jackson and Stadium but took a right! I'm also wondering how Lakewood fared. I saw no damage driving from McDs to Jackson so I turned right to see where the boundary was on damage
@NWSDetroit Skywarn spotters; damage trail map as we found for 4/15/26 tornado. Marker= damage found. 1st area around Parker & Jackson in Scio Twp, seemed to be dissipating by 3rd street in Ann Arbor.
@TheVolitionist@ryanhallyall I was out chasing that one myself and reporting in to NWS. I found a big wedge area of damage north of Liberty and south of Jackson that ended right before down town, but then random spots like Yost got hit! Looking forward to what the final say is on what went down.
@NWSDetroit Don't seem to be able to DM it π but I also did get this from around 217 Kenwood Ave. Lots of damage in this area of A2 that is in a gully of sorts that Virginia Ave cuts through.
@MaxVelocityWX@NWSDetroit Skywarn spotter. Damage on Liberty in Ann Arbor just past Stadium. Damage started around Zeeb and Liberty roads and went into downtown. Power flashes seen to the west coming into town. (Note, one minor π€¬ word!)
@NASASpaceflight@NASASpaceflight I heard that there was curiosity about the Egress baskets leaving the tower before launch. I'm the CEO of the company that did the controls for them; they were looking to save the baskets by sending before launch. Can answer Qs if needed!
@Markos_mom Update: The foam in the walls thing is out now and officials are talking about it. There is apparently a video out there that shows the effects of it and the walls "breathing" but it seems police have it under wraps atm
@Silverlake2000@Markos_mom This is absolutely mental. It was bad enough in the ceiling but into the walls, too?! That's a new diabolical twist to what is yet another foam club/bar fire. No wonder people heard explosions- plus there is the factor of all the alcohol in that room.
