Derrick Favors says Houston would’ve won championships if it wasn’t for Golden State
“Houston had James Harden at the time, winning 65 games. ..We couldn’t match up with them, but who could in the league? If it wasn’t for Golden State, Houston probably would’ve won championships. If it wasn’t for those two teams, [Utah] could’ve won a championship.”

Might be the first time anyone in the league has said they wanna be Derrick White, but it's also funny because their like complete opposites of each other lol
“I wanna be Derrick White. He doesn’t get a lot of credit for what he does, makes all the winning plays, & that’s who I wanna be.”
— D’Angelo Russell
Think most smart teams thought this. Like Beal is a solid player but his name value>his value, skill, and production. He hasn't won anything, and is relatively injury prone, doesn't defend consistently, doesn't make others better, and makes a ton of money.
The Miami Heat didn’t think Bradley Beal was that much of an upgrade, per ESPN’s Zach Lowe
“From what I heard, the Heat looked at that situation and said, ‘We don’t think Bradley Beal, who’s…seven years older than Tyler Herro, is $30 million better than Tyler Herro going forward. We just don’t think the upgrade is worth it.'”
Started to see some of this during that Cavs series last season, but yeah, getting him going downhill, almost by force, with handoffs will hopefully be a bigger part of the offense this year. And hopefully he keeps doing this instead of getting it and sizing the big up.
Youngest players in NBA history to make the All-Defensive First Team:
21 — Kobe Bryant (2000)
21 — Evan Mobley (2023)
22 — Jaren Jackson Jr (2022)
22 — Serge Ibaka (2012)
23 — Tim Duncan (1999)
Cam Reddish had 10 PTS & 5 REB in 21 MINS vs Bucks
DLo: “He looks comfortable. Cams a guy that just needs a little push to see what he’s capable of. Everybody knows his talent."
Can't be surprised Rudy has Evan's back and Fournier is 100% the best shooter on the team. But just look at the records and the net ratings of when he was playing and not playing, and then watch the tape. It's very clear why he ended up on the bench lol.
Rudy Gobert finds it ‘weird’ that Evan Fournier is on the Knicks bench
“He’s the best shooter on the team. He’s the best shooter on the Knicks… I think he can contribute and help a lot of teams. I think everybody knows it. But it’s kind of weird when you end up on the bench and you don’t really know why.”

Jayson Tatum called Damian Lillard and "tried to get in his ear" about potentially joining the Celtics, but Dame's focus remains on Miami, per @MarcJSpears via @Oregonian
Welp, Bleacher Report about to start to getting their "Ant to Knicks" rumors ready in a few months now lol and they're just going to use this and the Team USA connections as their only reasons
Pat Bev expects Ant to eventually leave Minnesota
“He will get out of Minnesota. That's just what happens. That's no disrespect to Minny. With that personality, he can change the world with basketball. He is the type of player that you need to see.”
One of those IYKY guys. Was really amazed at how efficient he was, how great he looked, and just overall how quickly he seemed to adjust to NBA game and speed on both ends of the floor as a 19 year old. Super bright future.
Team stuff and the way he ended his career ruined some of the casual fans perception of Marbury. Obviously I wouldn't go as far as to say he's the best I've seen but he does get left out of a lot of the point guards of the 2000s lists and videos. He was better than many remember.
God Shammgod on Stephon Marbury: “Steph is probably the best point guard I’ve ever seen play up close”
Darius Miles: “I think he’s the best New York point guard ever”
Shammgod: “Yeah but I’m saying, Steph is probably the best point guard I’ve seen. Ever”
Guy tried the playing second/third fiddle in Brooklyn and Philly for a few years, and said well, if I can't win doing that, then I might as well just get my stats and money. It's funny and not the way I'd do it but in a weird way, I don't blame him and kind of respect it lol.
Rachel Nichols says James Harden wants to be the No. 1 option on a team again
“He thinks he should be leading the show. The reason why he wanted out of Philadelphia in the first place is that it's the Joel Embiid show right now.”

To the people saying RHJ belongs in the league, maybe. But also, lets remember that some guys play very differently on the international stage. Look at guys like Patty Mills and Evan Fournier, they're obviously good enough for the league, but you get my point.
Wonder if Kerr stays with Hart as the starter over BI going forward.... I know the competition wasn't amazing but feels like Team USA did start the game better than they did in the other games, which Hart definitely helps with. That second unit synergizes better with BI too.
Beal being higher than Giannis and Rudy being higher than Luka is a travesty. Also, so is Tobias being up here at all lol. There's a few not great contracts there but those 3 are so gross lol
Wasn't expecting Brunson to Randle but guess it's not that surprising, Hali to Hield being so far away from everyone is funny, so is Sabonis being 2nd and 3rd. Also was not expecting CJ to Trey. But the most impressive part of this might be Curry being on both the list for both.
Was not expecting TJ McConnell to casually be top 6. Also, CP doing this while being close to sub 3 in turnovers while there are two guys 5.5 or over is also more impressive than people probably think.
