So proud to have been one of the two executive producers of this commemorative event in Portsmouth. A true privilege to tell the story of D-Day and the incredible bravery of our veterans. #dday80 @BBCS_Events
@jonnyweldon@netflix Absolutely loved the series and thought you gave an exceptional performance - at times very funny, at times deeply moving. Congratulations on a special series and your role in it. A joy to watch.
The amazing, humbling reviews for #AmolRajanInterviews SHEILA HANCOCK have kept coming in all week.
It’s a special bit of television with a remarkable person and, I (again humbly) submit, well worth 45mins of your time.
On @BBCiPlayer now
Polite, humble reminder. If you’re in need of 45mins entertainment and enlightenment, I’ve interviewed the remarkable and pioneering SHEILA HANCOCK, it’s on @BBCiPlayer now, or @BBCTwo at 7pm, and Critic’s Choice all over the shop.
She is 91, mesmering, mischievous, and open.
Tonight on @BBCTwo at 7pm and @BBCiPlayer@amolrajan interviews Shelia Hancock. It’s a fascinating and funny conversation artfully produced and directed by the very talented Michelle Cox.
This is one of the best videos to ever exist for entrepreneurs, creators... I think about it often.
In 2016, Pharrell Williams visited a NYU music production class to critique student songs.
At the beginning you could see student "Maggie Rogers" drenched with the absolute terror of sharing this with him.
Pharrell is there just trying to keep his excitement in.
The guy couldn’t wait to tell her this song is the bee’s knees.
After he listened to a song called “Alaska”, he explained why “I have zero, zero, zero notes for that:”
24 hours later, someone posted the clip to Reddit.
It blew up and the rest is history. Grammy nominated, millions of followers etc.
And Maggie responded to the Reddit thread (i'll share screenshot in the next tweet).
This story I find so cool because it inspires other artists to share what they got.
We all can all connect with the fear of showing our work. It ain't easy.
And to have a unique POV like Maggie. Easy to copy, harder to have something unique.
I’ve got a bunch of designs, creations that have never seen the light of day.
This video inspires me to publish more.
My point of sharing this video:
Publish your art anonymously.
Or publish your art proudly as yourself. Bonus points if it's one of a kind work.
But publish your darn art.
This is your new week's energy.
This is your 2024 energy.
Go get 'em.

If you enjoyed this, go listen to some Maggie Rogers. And thank you to Pharrell for being so supportive to an up and comer.

@amolrajan@BBCiPlayer@BBCTwo Have just watched it. That was a masterclass on interviewing someone. How to get the best from the interviewee. Think I need to find a better word than interview - it was more than that.
Our outstanding Exec Producer and Director @KeirMacKenzie can attest that Simon Abrahams is a phenomenal Editor. He did such a superb job on this interview with Ronnie O’Sullivan, which seems to have really cut through.

Thank you to @bbcstudios for the opportunity and kudos to @amolrajan who, in my opinion, sets the standard for interviewing (and is a top bloke with it).
Tonight on BBC Two at 7pm and on BBC iPlayer, Ronnie O'Sullivan: Amol Rajan Interviews. Arguably the greatest snooker player ever to pick up a cue, Ronnie's incredible story is a lesson in fortitude.
It was a great privilege to get to work with such an incredible team, including cinematographer Jon Stapleton, editor Simon Abrahams, assistant producer extraordinaire @CarysNally, sports producer @jadelauriston and the ever-brilliant @libbycave.
📺 @AmolRajan interviews actor Brian Cox!
