The Paramount and Warner Bros merger is officially on hold.

The merger will not move forward until June 1, 2027 OR until the courts provide a ruling on the lawsuits facing the merger.

• A state coalition argued the merger would violate federal antitrust law, leading to higher prices and fewer movies and TV shows

• If the deal has not closed by Sept. 30, Paramount will start to owe millions of dollars a day to Warner Bros. investors

I Rewatched “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” (1966) on Blu-ray. It had been two years since the 4K revival screening in 2024. Then I finally watched “Sad Hill Unearthed” (2017) on Blu-ray, which I had bought but never opened. It completely moved me to tears. A timeless presence that continues to shape people’s lives. That is exactly what art is, and what cinema is.
