Just a point on the privacy issues around Cummings and his partner's family. Nobody asked either of them to write in the Spectator or appear on BBC to misrepresent their family arrangements during lockdown. They made this a public matter.

This isn’t party political, because it’s not about the Conservative Party at all: Dominic Cummings represents a US led hard right approach which adores big tech monopolies and veers to genomics/genetics as explanation for inequality. It has hollowed out all its appeal in 6 months

Finally we have an apology over Dominic Cummings' actions, in a pandemic in which the government response has led to thousands of avoidable deaths.

It came from the BBC because a senior journalist made the mistake of telling the truth.
