If you are one of Celtic’s preference shareholders(CCPC), this is for you.

There are around 7,800 of you, most holding your shares since 1995, and most will receive a dividend of about £18 next month. What many holders do not realise is that you have a choice about what happens next, and there is a deadline on it.

You can take that dividend in new ordinary shares instead of cash, and you can convert your preference shares into ordinary shares. Ordinary shares are the class that carries a vote at the AGM. In plain terms, this is how a preference holder becomes a voting owner with a seat in the room.
