The military style weapons are to make sure they are not out gunned by criminals ...anyone remember the bank robbery of North Hollywood in 1997 which lasted 44 minutes. The police were outgunned and many officers were wounded.

Everyone keeps saying defending is not abolishing pd. It's only taking military type weapons away from police. Well all the shootings , all these people being shot and killed by police are killed by officers with handguns not by SWAT teams or patrolman with their assault rifles.

@SandDollar04 @EricTrump A lot of today's officers are EMT certified and if not they are CPR certified as they often reach the scene of medical emergencies before an ambulance.sometimes they are flagged down by people needing help. It's better that they can help instead of watch someone die
