@caddyshanksco To be honest just counting the number of putts is not sufficient to know whether or not someone is a good putter. 36 putts could be a poor result if someone is missing several from inside 5 feet. If you really want to know you have to track strokes gained putting.
@Justsayin4sure You are misinterpreting the Bible, so you are actually following the word of men. Nobody believed what you are saying until after the 1600s.
@Justsayin4sure That's pretty dishonest, you learned your faith practice from somewhere, and it was probably basic nondenominational/baptist. And you are wrong, there is demonstrated writings showing the key components of the Mass from the year 88 AD.
@Justsayin4sure Well you are Protestant so I assume you basically read the bible and maybe sing or listen to a sermon? And there are writings detailing exactly what Christians were doing when they met in first and second centuries and they line up exactly with the Catholic Mass.
@Justsayin4sure "Rome controlled everything" the writings are so old they were written before Rome had any control. And there are two letter of Ignatius to John, so not sure what you are talking about. There is no proof that any early Christians were doing anything resembling what you are doing
@Justsayin4sure@R_CathPR There are first hand accounts of Church fathers, including some who learned from the Apostle John himself, speaking about the faith, and it lines up with Catholicism and Orthodoxy. How come there is no evidence of Protestantism during that time?
@Justsayin4sure@R_CathPR There are written descriptions of what Christians were doing in their faith practice in the time immediately following the Apostles. They were doing exactly what the Catholic and Orthodox are still doing today.
@Justsayin4sure@R_CathPR Well the Bible disagrees with you. When the Ethiopian Eunuch was reading scripture in Acts 8, St Phillip came to assist him. The church Christ established is made to lead its flock to God's truth. Without it, men are prone to heresy, which we have seen without history.
@Justsayin4sure@R_CathPR I am referring to Christian history. If there is no connection of your beliefs to the Apostles, they are probably mistaken. Protestants changed many biblical interpretations during the reformation and interfered with their faith's connection with the Apostles.
@Justsayin4sure@R_CathPR If it were me, I would be evaluating my biblical interpretations in the historical context, you might find that many of them are modern and novel.
@Justsayin4sure@R_CathPR I am not saying your wrong, but I am definitely not seeing how this would some prohibit or prevent Saints in heaven from hearing our prayers and interceding for us. Christians through the ages have believed in intercession of the saints and they have not held your view on this.
@Justsayin4sure@R_CathPR 1-In Matt 1-8, Moses and Elijah are present and speaking to Jesus despite having suffered an earthly death. Matthew goes on to say that he is God of the living, not God of the dead. There have been great fruits and miracles from the devotion to Marty and the Saints.
