“I’m concerned about Zyn,” writes @Luke_Simon7.
“It may be healthier for the body compared to cigarettes and vapes, but it can be far more lethal for the soul.”

Why do Christians feel like outsiders in today's culture? How can we help the culture flourish?
Brent talks with @KeithSimon_ about his new @Zondervan book 'Joyful Outsiders'.

More evidence of the vibe shift. A feminist, liberal, agnostic promotes the Christian sexual ethic and says she attends church hoping she eventually believes the gospel.
Who could’ve guessed that the Christian sexual ethic promotes human flourishing? https://t.co/LMeVHEQCbZ
“It shall be called the Super Bowl and will be a huge national event played deep into the night on Sunday when everyone must go into work on Monday.”
“Why not play it on Saturday?”
“Nobody knows.”
It’s sad that two generations of young men were lied to by their parents that traveling, “having experiences,”focussing on career, “finding out who you are,” etc. are all more fulfilling than having this at home. This is leveling up, not “settling down.”
“I thought fame and fortune would bring me happiness. But one day you wake up and realize they don’t. I still felt the same emptiness — only worse, because I couldn’t say, ‘If only I had this.’” -Madonna
I want to get better at conversational prayer throughout the day or as Paul says it: “Pray without ceasing.”
If I can talk to myself while talking with others, doing chores, etc., I can talk with God while doing the same things.
Congrats to @PatrickKMiller_ and @KeithSimon_ on the release of their new book. I highly recommend it. From my endorsement:
"Rather than providing a rigid set of to-dos, Miller and Simon remind us that '[Our] exile is creative tension. It is holy improvisation.' This culturally astute and pastorally sensitive book is an important resource for all those who long to live the way of Jesus amid the idolatry of our modern Babylon."
Congratulations to @PatrickKMiller_ and @KeithSimon_ on the release of this thoughtful book that will introduce some helpful categories for Christians and churches thinking through the best ways to steward their gifts and direct their passions.
Joyful Outsiders drops today. 🎉 It's a practical book for everyday people seeking to change the world without becoming like it. (Or going to war with it.)
Thank you to everyone @Zondervan who helped make this happen. https://t.co/QEAtxLkMDc

Huge congrats to my friend @ianharber on his new book. My endorsement... "With both compassion and conviction, equal parts comfort and confrontation, this book will help those deconstructing see a path toward reconstruction, guiding us toward a faith more rich, robust, and dynamic in discipleship to Jesus."
People act as if there’s a solution to problems as varied as the high cost of medical care to increasing the birth rate to curbing misinformation/disinformation on the internet.
But as Thomas Sowell reminds us:
“There are no solutions. There are only tradeoffs.”
These people who think an insurer’s denial of coverage justifies assassinating its execs are not only depraved, they’re also clueless. The only way to keep coverage affordable is to deny coverage for unwarranted expenditures. Focusing on only the denials and not their effect…1/4
