@RodrigoMulsa @giant_light For sure! I agree. I will say that there has been a number of legal battles over this issue. (Monsters Inc, for example) The difference is that you’re talking about a 1 off case that can be tracked. AI allows those instances to uptick exponentially.

@giant_light Yes it really is the source DNA that I have issue with. Also truly downplaying the amount of time and effort it takes into development of style. Mark making, color pallets, content, narrative, SOUL. It’s all a package deal that now gets grouped into pure soulless visuals.

@giant_light So if you plug in “cyclops robots, dancing, in “Keith Zoo” style” and generate 100 concepts, but not have any reference to the source… or pay me, you are ok with that?

@giant_light AI generated art, as a tool, seems questionable but ok. Copyright law needs to be revised. However I have zero faith in this movement being Artist friendly.

@giant_light Maybe if there were different methods of scanning goods, different schools of thought on what a scanned good is, and were thousands of examples of check out machines that it would need to steal from to perform its function.
