@armsq17 It’s a simple supply problem. Nowadays education is seen as a last resort area of study.
Oh no! I couldn’t get into any of the competitive STEM majors. Guess I better settle for Education.
Honest question because I love discussing this. Why not a hybrid approach? I would say tolling on the interstates is not a means to eliminate the gas tax… rather it’s a way to reduce it.
Also, this account seems to believe only Indiana residents pay gas taxes. The “buckeyes and coasties” already pay gas taxes, if/when they need to fill their tanks inside our borders
I just want to add that nobody, and I mean NOBODY, truly fathoms just how crazy the space is between cars at any given time. Here’s a simple test. Ask them 1) how long they think the white stripes are between lanes on a freeway and 2) how much space do they think is between said stripes. They will always, ALWAYS, underestimate the distance
@aaron_renn Nice shot of the Merchants Bank headquarters, recently bought the naming rights for IU’s football field. Proved to be a bargain after exceeding expectations last year!
@Hoosier_V So at least for Indiana we are only 20 years removed from permanent CST/EDT. Thank you for confirming, I was not old enough to have a care about which was which, I only remember how terrible it was suddenly having to change the clock twice a year
