As she narrated, the story stayed straight. No crying. No contradiction.

Then she continued.

She explained that she had agreed on a price with the bike man before the journey started. The destination was mentioned. And agreement sealed.

I said it confidently, without hesitation. I had already judged the situation and had convinced myself that these days, women lie against men easily and gain sympathy. In my mind, I was sure this was another one of those cases.
