Why are these two talking about vehicle thefts when there are so many OTHER crimes that should be addressed?

With the amount of spending and taxation Canadians are experiencing its a wonder Canadians can afford vehicles

Level 1 sexual assault rose 3%

Child Pornography is up 11%

Violations under the “Customs Act” as a result of criminal incidents at the Roxham Road unofficial border crossing point up 105%

Shoplifting Is up 31%

The homicide rate increased 8%. This was the highest rate since 1992.

In 2022, the rate of police-reported fraud (which includes general fraud, identity theft and identity fraud) was 78% higher than a decade earlier.

The rate of motor vehicle theft (+24%) also increased from 2021-2022. From 2012 to 2022 it was 21%
