Crestwood sophomore Colton Mayle's 13 steals in the Red Devils' win over Niles McKinley on Jan. 10 not only set a new single-game school record, but it ranks as the second-most in Ohio high school history.
Three others, including Rootstown's Michael Boland, had 14 in a game.
The Portage Sports & Jack Kohl Realty Player of the Game on Friday was Crestwood sophomore Colton Mayle.
In the Devils' 71-70 league win over Rootstown, Mayle was special.
He scored 33 pts on 12-of-16 FGs and 9-of-12 FTs. He also had eight rebounds, four assists & four steals.
Crestwood sophomore Colton Mayle set a new single-game steals record during the Red Devils' victory over Niles McKinley on Saturday.
Mayle had 13 steals to break the record that was previous held by Josh Jakacki that was originally set in 1994.
