Issues of safety and violent crime are top concerns for Marylanders across the state.

Leading the effort to pass the Ann Sue Metz Law was one of the most rewarding accomplishments of my life.

Signed into law in 2013, this ensured that families of murder victims are protected from having their loved one's estate taken by their assailant.

If a family member murders another family member, they will NOT be able to benefit from it.

Public service is about changing people’s lives for the better ��� and we did that when we passed this bill.
