He FINALLY listened to me after months of me complaining that those meds do nothing for me. I said most of my anxiety symptoms are physical. So he prescribed me propranolol. And wouldn’t u know…my anxiety makes me scared to take it cuz I don’t wanna get dizzy WHY AM I LIKE THIS

@thinforthebest As do I. And it’s so frustrating when psychiatrists just endlessly say “have u tried Buspar and Vistaril…” and I tell them YES I’ve tried it several times & it never worked, and then they’re like “well…..have u considered trying them even harder. maybe we should up the dose :)”
@pemilo123 I kinda hate when mental health professionals are like “surely this one trait is entirely indicative of The Disorder, and anyone who doesn’t exhibit The Trait™️ probably doesn’t have The Disorder” like are u kidding me…..no room for nuance… it’s called a spectrum for a reason!
@pemilo123 No I never struggled with tying my shoes, and I hit all my developmental milestones on time. But still was diagnosed with Asperger’s in 2007 when I was 12. Because they used the DSM-IV back then. I finally semi-recently got the diagnosis updated to be autism spectrum disorder

There are several different shelters in my city, but we usually adopt from our Humane Society. The adult dogs there are only $50 (and the puppies are $100). Fifty. Dollars. And you’re saving a lovely dog from a life of despair. It’s beyond worth it. Adopt, don’t shop.

My experimental psych prof sent out a course introduction email and he said “Brush up on your statistics. There will be several questions pertaining to statistics on several exams.” Great. I kinda figured tho. This course being on the scientific/analytical side and all...
