As a young man who found himself close to the corridors of power at a very tender age , I have had the privilege of observing politics, power, relationships and the many dynamics that come with influence.

Leaders must therefore learn to distinguish between loyalty, access and proximity. Not everyone around you is your friend, and not everyone who praises you is loyal to you.

Over the years, I have also learnt to read and interpret body language more than statements. In politics, words can be carefully chosen, but body language often tells the story that words will not.

When the office is gone, the phones may stop ringing, the visits may reduce, and those who once called you “Leader” may suddenly become strangers and amplify your weakness.

At the time, their closeness could easily be mistaken for genuine loyalty. Today, when I hear some of the statements coming from some of those same people, I simply smile.

As a privileged individual and protégé of a very influential figure, I have had people revolve around me simply because of the access I had. Some came with requests, others wanted me to whisper their needs to my boss.

One lesson I have learnt is this, many people are loyal to the office you occupy, not necessarily to the person you are.

Waking up every morning, picking up your water bottle, and heading straight to the gym alone is a form of mindset growth. It develops you in ways that help you change, discipline yourself, and control unwanted distractions and attention.

Okay, i come to realize that exercise is very good, not just for body fitness or physical appearance. It strengthens your thinking faculty, helps with decision making, and influences the actions you take toward every little thing you intend to achieve.
