Most seem to want to travel if they’re given the chance.

But when they’re living on UBI, in surveilled fifteen-minute cities, with little to no transportation available due to personal carbon-credit restrictions, they may not be allowed to travel freely.

So the irony is, the freedom to spend a “free year” traveling may become a luxury of the past, making this question moot in the not-so-distant future.
