Look at this chart. Every line starts in 1975. Every line goes up. These diseases are all connected.

Alzheimer’s: 1 million to 7.1 million. 7x.

Diabetes: 3.2% to 12%. Nearly quadrupled.

Heart disease: 25 million to 86 million living with CVD. 3.4x. We got better at keeping sick people alive with stents and bypasses. We didn’t prevent the disease. More customers, longer subscriptions.

Obesity: 15% to 40%. Nearly tripled.

Cancer: 1 million to 2 million new cases per year. Doubled.

And the teal line? Prescription drug spending. $10 billion in 1975. $487 billion in 2025. A 50x increase.

We spent 50x more on drugs. Every disease got worse.

50 years. Trillions of dollars. Thousands of new drugs approved. And the country is sicker than it has ever been in recorded history.

Only 6.8% of American adults are metabolically healthy. 93% have at least one broken metabolic marker. UNC Chapel Hill, Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders.

This is not a failure of medicine. This is medicine working exactly as designed. The system treats disease. It does not prevent it. Every diagnosis is a revenue stream. Every drug is a subscription. Every patient is a customer.

Nobody profits from a healthy person.

The test that catches the root cause behind nearly every line on this chart costs less than $20. Fasting insulin. It’s not on a standard panel.
