@RenuBakshi@TheOrcaBC@BIVnews Great article. So many waves of immigrants have come to Canada from across the world. Many, including my parents (who travelled from Portugal) came to leave poverty, lack of opportunity, and to help build a better life. I am so thankful they did.
Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone anywhere & without immediate treatment, it can lead to brain damage or death. I want to thank @shirleybond for her tireless advocacy to make life-saving AEDs more accessible in #BC @HeartandStroke https://t.co/0nk1eb0R7j
Thank you to the British Columbia Government and @AdrianDix for driving this work to create heart-safe communities in BC. This program will place more AEDs where they're needed the most. https://t.co/ykM6jBVG2R @shirleybond@RoJoMoBoMa@KenCarrusca
Latest auroral probability oval from the Space Weather Prediction Center. If this holds up, we can expect overhead jaw-dropping auroral action, much like we saw last night here in Metro Vancouver. The timing is more iffy.
Thank you McKenzie, Kaj and Dave - the paramedics from @Para_Specialist
The BC Ambulance crew that treated and transported me from @8Rinks to @RoyalColumbian back on Jan 2018
TY also to Shane Sander, Brian Twaites and Daria.
Such a kind and warm-hearted group.

THE GREAT ECLIPSE
ON April 8th, 2024 an eclipse will occur that will be the first total solar eclipse to be visible in the provinces of Canada since February 26, 1979…
I remember it well being in Grade 2 at the time, and it was an exciting school event for us. Teachers taught lessons about it and we made pinhole cameras to watch it.
It will be the only total solar eclipse in the 21st century where totality will be visible in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
Here is the path it will take:
