Last week, our friend Mary Wright from UConnect Care explained why we celebrate Red Ribbon Week: to live drug free, make healthy choices, and to remember Kiki Camarena. This week, students are ready to celebrate what they learned.
I got to tag along on the second grade field trip to the Central Library. They found the secret room.
Our Kendall Book Queens placed 2nd in the Battle of the Books Super Regionals. Congratulations, girls and coach.
The Book Fair is here and ready to go for next week. Thanks to our parent volunteers and @KJSHLibrary for helping to set it up.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to KES from May 13th to 17th. Our 4th Grade Battle of the Books students are looking forward to helping with Pizza Picnic on the 16th.

Our Battle of the Books teams are ready for battle
They were so excited to fill the vending machine with their books choices for yesterday's field trip.

They heard the Elementary students are performing The Little Mermaid this weekend and wanted to watch the movie. I wonder if some of them try sneaking in to see the play tomorrow night.
