@Livermush_Grits You're comparing the after math of a once in a 100 year storm to highway widening project in Charlotte. The difference is that the highway in Charlotte doesn't need to be widened. The roads in western NC did need to be rebuilt.

@Livermush_Grits Speaking for myself, I didn't get any relief. I was on my own to remove the trees down on my property. There was no propane available for filling my propane tank after my generator ran for 4 weeks. 2 of the four roads into town were washed off the mountains.
