@ShrekOverflow Not to mention these @joeandthejuice sandwich boxes are generally GOAT
I love being able to tear away half & eat my sandwich without getting my fingers dirty. They really nailed the use case
@yacineMTB Hiii is there any specific feedback I can pass along?
I work on our developer platform stuff, not the core app, but still curious how we can do better like if there’s recent friction you ran into
For the love of god why is the PDF417 barcode on the back of the new California driver’s license on the top right??
Makes it annoying to move my fingers when a bouncer is scanning it
Tbh the whole design is mid and looks like a postage stamp
@ShrekOverflow@linusgsebastian@Uber Yes I don’t know why some of them insist on slamming the accelerator pedal and brake pedal down back and forth in rapid succession
It’s a bit wild that in elementary school we used to make fun of using the word “like” as sentence fillers (probably some sort of systemic misogyny or classism) but now it’s much more widespread and acceptable
Unsolicited tv review time!
Pursuit of Jade (逐玉) on Netflix is a kitschy Chinese period drama about growth & self discovery thru love, care, and community. V silly but also deep, nuanced, and addicting.
Changyu is all of us (or at least I wish she was!)
I give it 4 stars.
@RhysSullivan@TheZvi Not that I disagree with any of it per se so much as I don't get what it means in practice
It seems like a bunch of disparate, plausibly correct/valid thoughts & observations that dance around a yet-missing layer but I don't feel convinced of its worth or shape
Same!! If anyone does get it: pls ELI5 because this is my best guess summary:
- natural intelligence = good
- don't be locked into 1 model (is this a thing still?)
- spend more $ on RL of stochastic "knowledge-work conveyor belts" that dream & turn ideas -> code + spreadsheets
- do this with some (tbd?) platform (ecosystem?) no one is building? (is it, like, Notion + Braintrust vibes?)
- ???
- democratize expertise; profit
The user is also absolutely right about the "smoking gun", but chasing a lead with this much context pressure is the wrong call—let me know if you want me to (a) write bogus_non_slopwash_plan.md and send a reply on Slack for the next session tomorrow, or (2) call it here now that we finished #14 and #67.
@wongmjane Good, a sharp correction from the user — grounded rather than handwavy. Increasing the rigor for this load-bearing seam is absolutely the principled choice, and that's what matters.
Sending a sidecar to probe the existing substrate so this extends, rather than being bolted on.
U.S. cities: littering is bad and a moral failure 🚮
Also cities: your options are either a camouflaged pink mailbox looking thing 5 blocks away or a rusty metal can with no garbage bag 7 blocks away
(tbc littering is still bad, but the right way should be easier)
@thsottiaux Which skills or commands do you reach for the most? How often do you use `/goal`?
What techniques do you use to help long-running sessions stay on track and succeed? (e.g. computer use/tight verification loops, prompting approaches)
(ok maybe too many Qs here, pick your fave)
