12 books for 2025! On the fiction end, East of Eden by John Steinbeck is far and away my favourite read of the year.

A quieter year for non-fiction, but Zero to One by Peter Thiel offered compelling contrarian insights into how founders think and operate.

13 books in 2024! Flowers for Algernon was the standout fiction for me this year, I often find myself reflecting on it. On the non-fiction end, I re-read Skin in the Game and looked at it with much kinder eyes than I did the first time, definitely worth the read. Now, onto 2025!

20 books in 2023! By far the most number of books I've finished in a year. So many unforgettable reads but the ones that stood out were The Black Swan by Nassim Taleb, and 1984 by George Orwell.

Managed to squeeze in 13 books for 2022! Lots of great non-fiction titles but Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman was the one that had the most impact on me. On the fiction side, my friend Melissa recommended Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir that I ended up really enjoying.

@todoist There's something wrong with the interaction between recurring sub-tasks and daily task goals - say I complete 3 sub-tasks and a main task which is set to recur tomorrow, completing the main task resets the sub-tasks but also removes them from the daily task goal count

@HuahSheng Think it’s also a survivorship bias thing where we only see success stories but for every successful case there are probably hundreds if not thousands who have failed.

@MRTMalaysia the lifts at the Taman Midah car park have been under maintenance for like 2 weeks wtf is going on?

@MRTMalaysia Suggest to allow access to higher parking levels (i.e. level 4 or 5) while the lifts are being fixed. I’m in my 20s and am practically drenched in sweat by the time I reach level 5, I can’t imagine what it must be like for the elderly and differently abled.

@MRTMalaysia Thanks for the reply, but the mid November timeline seems too excessive, What are the alternatives for people with disabilities and/or the elderly? Parking above level 1 is closed off so at a minimum patrons will have to climb 4 flights of stairs to reach level 5 (MRT level)
